My Story

Hi there, welcome, I’m so happy you are here and thank you for being curious about who I am. Let me tell you how Olenka blossomed into existence, and in a way, how I became truly myself at the same time.

Olenka is named after my mother. It is her Ukrainian name. Helen (Olenka) was born here in Australia, however both of her parents were born in Ukraine. They traveled here after the war, settled in Brisbane and called Australia home. My Grandmother was stubborn and strong, a trait all the females in my family share. My mother, probably the strongest of them all, has fought cancer to remission once and is now fighting stage 4. A secondary from her original battel. 

She is a healer, carer, teacher and mother to so many. I am so very proud of her in every way, and I am extremely grateful to be her daughter. 

Olenka, surprisingly, contains the first letter of every member of my family. A beautiful coincidence… or a sign of alignment? I saw it as a sign. I love that my Mum, Dad, Sister and Brother are here with me on my Journey. They give me strength, support and the little nudges to keep on expanding Olenka.

My Journey from Beauty Therapist to a Healer and now somewhere in between

In 2000 I studied Beauty Therapy at South Bank Tafe and in 2001 landed my first position as a Beauty Therapist at In-TOTO in Fortitude Valley. I knew straight away that this was the career for me. It allowed for creativity, connection and service. 

Over my 20 plus years in this industry I have specialized in many different fields, in more recent years my focus has been on Brows and Lashes, well to be honest Brows have always been my 1st love in beauty.

Throughout my time I always had a vision of owning and running a salon with a difference. Focusing on relaxation and connection.

I became a mother at 27 and again at 30 to two amazing little souls. I was lucky enough to spend most of their younger years enjoying watching them grow, whilst still keeping my foot in the beauty door.

2015 had some big lessons installed for me. These lessons changed my path, perspective and outlook on every aspect of my life. 

In 2018 with all this newfound knowledge under my belt I studied Counselling. This then led to my interest in Reiki and other vibrational healing modalities. 

This is where Olenka truly began. Mixing my experience in beauty with healing. 

My vision for the future is to offer a safe place for healing, a relaxing environment, high quality services and always something new to try.
